No. GreenPortfolio is a tool for climate-aligned investing and banking research, not ESG. ESG is focused on financial risk. It’s more about how climate affects companies, rather than the other way around. That’s why you’ll find ESG funds with oil and gas exposure.

GreenPortfolio's scores are climate-first and unbiased. While ESG rating providers are scoring oil companies like Exxon with 80+ out of 100, we give them a 2 out of 100.

No, we are not a financial institution or financial advisor. We offer transparent information regarding the climate impact of stocks, funds, and banks in our database. The GreenPortfolio Score is a number ranging from 1 (worst) to 100 (best) that summarizes climate impact.

GreenPortfolio Scores are calculated with our proprietary, climate-first algorithm. We look at over 400 climate dimensions like science-based emissions targets, coal mining, and environmental fines to score the ever-expanding list of stocks, funds, and banks in our database.

Then, we link these stock, fund, and bank scores to your portfolio to calculate your personal GreenPortfolio Score!
